I have a HIMZ Warrior duffel bag that’s been great so when looking for a beach bag this seemed like an interesting option. It’s very well constructed and the design is actually pretty cool as well. The exterior of the bag feels tough and durable; much like my duffel the material is thick and should stand up to use and abuse. The shoulder strap is thick, elastic nylon which is comfortable even without a dedicated padded area and it’s strongly sewn to opposite sides of the bag. The fit and finish is just very nice all around and being a tote style bag I can find plenty of uses besides the beach for it.The zippers work smoothly and have metal HIMZ branded zipper tabs including the waterproof removable bag inside which is cleverly attached with a magnetic snap closure system that’s easy and quick to remove and reattach. It’s made of a thick vinyl which is actually waterproof and will definitely come in handy for beach trips; I thought it might be a bit gimmicky but it’s actually great to toss a wet bathing suit and towel in. I have plenty of space in the main interior for some towels, sitting pad and other necessities. It’s a large bag overall with two additional zippered compartments for extra organization which is a nice change from most totes that are empty space. The bag is nice looking as well - the interior is a sharp blue color that makes it easier to find things - although if I could change something I don’t much care for written messages on the sides of the bag along with the overly large branding but I can live with it since everything else about it is great.
