I did my research before purchasing a rear rack bag for my bike. I read about all kinds of bags and pannier sets, and read lots of customer reviews - and i mean lots. I have just recently gotten into biking since buying a quality hybrid and wanting to go on longer biking excursions. But I am basically a casual weekend rider wanting to be able to carry id, cell ph, food/bev, emergency bike tools, clothing, camera, etc. I am extremely pleased with my Banjo Brothers Rack Top Pannier Bag. My bike rack is set very close to my bike saddle and so I was concerned the bag might be in the way when I am sitting on my bike - but it is fine. I should note that I am quite petite at about 5' 2". I have no problems bumping or rubbing up against the bag at any point. I have used it at least a handful of times now. The panniers are so easy to set up - takes just a few seconds. I am not familiar with other bike racks - mine has a hook shaped piece set low on each side down by the middle of the wheels, i think, and that is what I latch each metal pannier loop to for securing. It is just designed very very well - as the Banjo Brothers website states - they are very particular. And I would have to agree. There is a loop on the back end where I clipped on my red light for rides around dusk. There are heavy duty velcro straps to attach the bag to the rack and it seems to do fine. There is no chance of this falling off if attached correctly. All the materials, straps, and zippers seem to be sturdy and very good quality. Oh, one problem I read with other bags was the panniers falling into the spokes - which I was concerned about especially after seeing a different company's bag at a store. This bag's material is very thick and stiff - I really can't see that happening here. I really cannot think of any negatives about this bag. My friends and I biked 53 miles one Saturday and they were very thankful I had a bag to carry stuff. Oh, as well, it looks pretty sleek, too. I could not be happier about this bag. This review is as much for the Seller as it is for the PRODUCT of wich i am absolutely 100% happy with.....i ordered this product after watching THE video on this product and i am very glad that i did or i would not have relized i had parts missing when my bag arrived.I recieved my bag in the 2 day prime shipping as usual....i opened the package and went into the garage an mounted it on my bike rack and put the 2 medal clips on and went to fasten the straps to them and found out the two straps that hold the panniers down were missing.....so next morning i emailed BEBIKE (where my bag came from) and told them of my situation and that i was going on an extended bike ride next weekend and really wanted those by then if at all possible and got an email back within 15 min.... to my shock....i explained what was missing and they inturn emailed BANJO BROTHERS about the missing parts and they said they would ship them directly to me and that i should possibly have them by my bike ride next weekend.....to make a long story short they arrived about an hr before we were leaving.....thanks to the prompt service of BEBIKE and BANJO BROTHERS.The bike rack is all that it is cracked up to be by most other reviewers...... it holds a lot of stuff and is very secure on the bike and as we were leaving from the parking lot onto the bike trail some stranger (fellow cyclist) wanted to take a look at the bag and as i was showing it to him and his wife, he wanted to know where i got it and who made it as he wanted to get one also......GOOD PRODUCT AND GREAT SERVICE ....what more could you ask for.PS....The bag even without those straps would be just fine as you could hook a couple of small bungies to either side and that would work fine.....i just feel like thats part of the package and it should be included.I originally bought a Nashbar Commuter Panniers, they really could not hold anything. After reading many reviews even the video posted here I purchased this product for my daily commute. This is a great commuting bag. It has enough space to carry more than what I need it to do. You can get almost everything you need in this bag. I carry small packages from my eBay store everyday to drop off at work. In the morning have a few additional items to carry with me beyond my flat fix tools, rain coat and clothing. I do not carry shoes in this bag due to my large foot size. I think adding shoes would require more space. I use the side panniers in the morning and zip them up on the way home.To give you an example of size. I need to carry a 12 x 10 inch envelope as a package for my store. It barely zips into the pannier. So I would put this as maximum size and it is tight. There is enough depth to add other items. If you expect to get something wide in this size it would not zip upAs for the top if I put in a pair of shoes it would most likely be full without using the expansion on the top.I have placed my rain coat on the top of the bag using the elastic straps and it seem fine. If it starts raining I can retrieve it easily. All in all it is a perfect day bag for my commute. Expands and contracts easily and saves some wind resistance on the way home. I received everything that came with the bag, I do wish amazon sold the bag so I could use my prime shipping. Would have saved a few days of impatient waiting.
