I have had four other of these bags and over the years the bags themselves are still high-quality but the plastic clips they use to hold the bag closed have become cheaper and cheaper and cheaper. It is a very spacious bag that holds a 17 inch Dell 7750. I abuse this bag and it has held up fantastic. the last one that I owned I had to replace the buckles after a very short period of time.I bought this as a computer bag for Toshiba Qosmio. The issue I found is that even though my computer is smaller than the dimensions given (Comp 17.4" x 11.6") the computer is too big for the bag to close, even if the laptop is not in the computer sleeve. I may end up trying to modify the bag to extend the zipper eventually but for now it is just a messenger bag or possibly a gift if I decide not to fix it.Other than that the bag seems great, it is solid and I enjoy the fact that I can personalize it with molle gear. If you end up having issues with the buckles you could try carabiners or a grimloc if you still want to be able to easily remove the shoulder strap. Either should help plus there are countless permanent strap options. If you have a laptop with a 17.3" screen or smaller then I would recommend this bag.If you have a laptop with a 18.4" screen or larger then I would not recommend this bag. For now I have gone with I purchased this bag about a year ago and right now it is sitting under my bed neglected to the young upstart that I call a backpack that I bought to replace it.Here's the reason: I dropped it. All the time. There is a quick-release buckle on the the strap and they are very prone to coming unlatched if you are running to catch the bus and happen to breathe on it too hard. As a result my uni-body aluminum case mac has a few dents and bends were it hit the floor hard after the strap came off and the bag hit the floor. After the buckle started to loose strength this would happen at least once a week. Most of the time I could catch the strap in time, but not all the time.Pros:Very sturdy construction on all of the sewing, straps and fittings.Tough/thick fabric material.Lots of space in the main computer compartment.Nice military look (if you like that kind of thing). I got a lot of comments, some positive.Cons:The aforementioned, catastrophic strap issue. The side pockets look kind of neat, but don't hold much and don't come off.The protective sleeve that comes with the bag for laptops might as well be made of paper towels. It is large (though light) but provides very little impact protection. If you want to get this bag, I would consider buying a separate protective case for your laptop if you don't already have one.I bought my bag almost about a year ago, and I take it with me pretty much everywhere. I can take all the stuff I need for the classes I give in the mornings, and there's plenty of room for the stuff I need at the office later in the day. I bought a couple of EMT packs that use the MOLLE system to upgrade it a little bit, so I don't think I'll be buying a new bag for a couple of years. However, the buckles are a MAJOR drawback. It dropped on me twice bumping my laptop pretty hard (since there a lot of stuff in there, the weight was considerable), and I tied them down with a groovy set of leather shoelaces I found on an old pair of shoes, so it added a bit of a hippie look to it.So I recommend you buy this bag, just make provisions on the buckles so you don't drop your stuff and stand there looking like a fool in the middle of an airport terminal. My laptop survived with a minor bump on the corner, which is pretty amazing, considering the fall.I hope this helps!Great Bag. I use it to carry a 17in and 15in laptop and planner daily. They both fit inside and I carry them everywhere I go. After reading previous reviews about the strap coming apart from the snap, I put two, black zip ties on both sides for back up. I have to "work" a little to get the 17in laptop with a thin neoprene cover, inside the bag, but that is the only draw back. Power cords and wireless mice fit well into the detachable pouches. I love the bag and will get another color for a Christmas gift to myself.I purchased an HP dv7 a while back and needed a bag. I loved the looks of this bag and it's functionality, including the inner laptop sleeve. It was also well made. Unfortunately it needed to be a bit bigger. I was bummed I had to send this back. I would recommend this to people who have a laptop under 17.3 inches.Since it is hard to find laptop bags fitting the 17.3 in. laptops I shopped around some more. I finally decided on the I have used this bag since October 2011. I have had better luck with the buckles for the shoulder strap than a couple of other users. I have yet had one come apart. This bag carries a lot for me... MacBook Pro 15", power adapter, various computer related items including a Apple external superdrive (used with my MacBook Air). The only complaint I have is with the strap not being comfortable. It gets twisted. If it were attached differently I would have replaced it with a better one.Quality has been good so far.Lots of little spaces to use.Overall a good bag.I bought this bag about a year ago to carry to school (I'm a teacher). After daily use carrying my class notes, my net book, and all the pens, tape, stapler, keys and other stuff I have to schlep from classroom to classroom, it looks just like new. I added a Molle bottle carrier to one end for my coffee thermos, and as a combo it's awesome. This bag is tough, well made and pretty nice looking. If it ever wears out, which it may not, I would buy another one in a heartbeat.Esta mochila tiene muchas prestaciones, resistente, impermeable y le cabe mi oficina móvil y sobra espacio. Altamente recomendada. Me encanta.ロスコ ボトルポーチ を左右に取り付けて使っている。以前もロスコの似たような奴を使っていたが、持ち手が切れるトラブルで困り果てたがステンレスのチェーンをカラビナを通して取り付け持ち手にした。さて今回は・・・やっぱり持ち手の取りつけの部分、なんて言ううのかなリベット?みたいなボッチが1ヶ月で取れた↓ 今回はさらに縫い付けて有るので使えてるが、何だかなぁ~・・・
